M/V Carouge in for inspection.

The bulk carrier M/V Carouge (288m x46m) was brought into Inhabitants Bay and put to anchor at India Anchorage yesterday the 3rd of May  by APA pilot Capt. Rick Hanlon.Two CFIA inspectors from Halifax were given the task to check the vessel for Gypsy Moth caterpillars .or cocoons 
   .The inspectors were transported to the ship on the launch Strait Rider with Capt. Earl Tibbo at the helm and after the inspection APA pilot Scott MacDonald went aboard at 1300h and had the task of taking the vessel safely out to the pilot station so it could finish its journey to Sept Isle Qc.

Also departing the Strait area yesterday was the cargo vessel Nordenhav which seems to be on a regular run from the Amazon region to Port Hawkesbury Paper with clay for their process .At anchor today and awaiting another CFIA inspection is the bulker Pacific Argosy which will eventually tie up in Port Cartier Qc.Its last of call wis listed as Port Talbot G.B.
